Shenwan Station Towers

This is an extremely impressive skyscraper cluster which are proposes to be built in the business center entanglement with Houhai in Shenzhen in China (another extremely projects in Shenzhen). The names of these buildings are (this maybe get better name in the futures?)

The first three skyscrapers are showed in the pictures below there the first one shows the new design and the second one the old design.

   It will be of interest to see if these skyscrapers will be built in Shenzhen, which is a fantastic project with one mega tall skyscraper and the other one is close to a mega tall skyscraper.

Det här är en hel skyskrapa kluster som håller på att planeras i affärsområdet förbundet med Houhai i Shenzhen i Kina. Dessa byggnader heter (förhoppningsvis bättre namn i framtiden?),

De tre första visas på figurerna ovanför då den första är för den nya designen och den andra är för den gamla designen.

   Det ska bli intressant om Shenzhen bygger dessa byggnader, det är otroligt vilket projekt egentligen där en kan bli en mega tall medan den näst högsta blir nästan mega tall.

Future City Tower

Future City Tower is a megatall skyscraper project in Shenzhen in China which want to get a height of 700 meters to 750 meters. But others think this skyscraper can also be over 800 meters high. The skyscraper wants to have the exact numbers of floors like Burj Khalifa which is 163 floors. The skyscraper want either look like in the pictures below or wants to be a twisted around its own axes building.

   There exist also other interest skyscraper project in Shenzhen and one can find another mega tall building with the name Pingan International Finance Center which is under construction and expected to be finished year 2016.

Future City Tower är ett megatall skyskrapa projekt i Shenzhen i Kina vilket kommer att bli upp mot 700 till 750 meter högt. Men andra tror även att denna byggnad kan bli över 800 meter hög. Skyskrapan kommer att ha exakt samma antal våningar som Burj Khalifa vilket är 163 stycken. Antingen kommer skyskrapan att se ut som på bilderna nedanför eller finns det tvistad kring sin egen axel modell av Future City Tower.

   Det sker en massa intressanta skyskrapor projekt just i Shenzhen och en annan mega tall byggnad med namnet Pingan International Finance Center är under uppbyggnad och förväntas att bli färdig år 2016.

Sky City Tower

The Sky City is a skyscraper in Changsha in China which is thought to be the tallest skyscraper in the world with a height of 838 meters (2749 ft) and will defeat the skyscraper Burj Khalifa with a height of 10 meters. The building will have 202 or 220 floors and the roof of the building is on the height of 727 meters before the over 100 meters high spire begins.

   The skyscraper is for much different purpose like hotel, residential, hospital, schools, chops, and to the finished thing is the indoors farming which is capable of feeding 20000 people.

   The most interest thing about this project is that in fact the want to build this building on 3 month. That means that the most of the construction will be pre factorized which is on 7 mount. The skyscraper should already begin its construction on November on 2012 and be finished 2013. But there wasn´t the case and even today the project is on hold because of permissions?

   But it is much criticism to the time frame of the building time of this skyscraper and it will never go. For example the head person Bart Leclercq from WSP Middle East joked that if this will be built on that short timeframes he wants to give up the structure engineer. I for instance couldn’t believe my eyes when they write that this thing would be built on three month and remember from the debates that many were very skeptical against this project. If the really succeed (against all supposition when it already have goes on bad direction) building this on 3 month, it will be revolutionary. Someone from the debate even said “I would never step inside in this building; the security will not be serious and risk to fall apart any time soon when it is finished”.

   The architecture development is the Broad Sustainable Building. The skyscraper wants to be made of glass, steel (270000 tons of steel) and concrete.

   The billionaire Zhang Yue is the front figure of the building design. A visionary to get a better future, to save the world which was the world, how could a building save the world? This was also the first person in China which gets himself a Jet aircraft and his succession in business is in the branch of air conditions. But now want to invest on this project to boast with the world fastest construction and the world tallest building. According to him the skyscraper want to be finished in this year 2014, and it will be interest to see if this want to succeed in this time?

Sky City är en skyskrapa i Changsha i Kina som är tänkt att bli världens högsta skyskrapa på 838 meter och kommer att slå närvarande Burj Khalifa med 10 meter.    Det som är verkligen intressant är att de ska bygga den här byggnaden på 3 månader. Innebär att de mesta ska för produceras i fabriker som nu under sista tiden ska vara på 7 månader. Byggnaden skulle redan börja byggas år november 2012 och därmed bli färdig till 2013. Men så blev inte fallet utan idag har projektet pausat på grund av tillstånd?

   Men det är inte många som tror att man kommer att kunna bygga ihop en skyskrapa som ska bli världens högsta skyskrapa på så pass kort tid. T ex huvudpersonen Bart Leclercq ifrån WSP Middle East skämtade till och med om att han skulle ge upp konstruktionsingenjörs-konsten om Sky City blev byggd på 3 månader. Jag själv kunde inte tro på mina ögon när de sa att denna sak skulle byggas på tre månader och kom ihåg att många utifrån debatterna var väldigt skeptiska emot den här byggnaden. Om dem verkligen lyckades (mot all förmodan då det redan har gått så dåligt hittills) bygga den på 3 månader vore det revolutionerande. Någon ifrån forumen sa till och med ”den byggnaden skulle inte jag vilja åka upp i, säkerheten kan ju inte bli seriös för byggnaden och riskera att falla ihop när som helst”.

   Arkitektur utveklaren för byggnaden är Broad Sustainable Buildings. Skyskrapan kommer att bestå av glas, stål (270000 ton av stål) och betong.

   Miljardären Zhang Yue ligger bakom för byggnadens design. En visionär för att göra det bättre för framtiden, rädda världen, men hur kan en byggnad rädda världen? Var även den person som var först i Kina med att skaffa en privat Jet plan och framgångarna har legat på att sälja luftkonditioneringar. Men nu vill satsa på detta projekt genom att skryta om världens snabbaste uppbyggda och världens högsta skyskrapa. Enligt honom så ska skyskrapan bli klar nu i år 2014, få se om det blir sant den här gången då?

Chrysler Building and Trump Building

Chrysler Building and Trump Building

  

The Chrysler Building and the Trump Building are two skyscrapers under the same time. Both of them was built in 1930 and the both of the project was competition about which of them want to build the world tallest building at that time.

   The Chrysler Building wanted to be 282 meters (925 ft) high, but the competition from the Trump Building project should be 282,5 meters high when finished. Thereafter the Chrysler Building project gets an idea that in secret if the Trump Building will be taller, a tall spire would be in place on the top of the building which gives the possibility to defeat the Trump Building in height.

   Both of them get the title of world tallest building in 1930, the first building to be built was the Trump Building with a height of 282 meters and thereafter the Chrysler Building with a height of 319 meters (1047 ft) was finished.

   But in that time there also exist other skyscraper project which wished to be the tallest building in the world “20 Exchange Place” which decreased in height because of the economic depressions. Thereafter a really known building the Empire State Building defeated the Chrysler Building in height year 1931.

 

Trump Building:

 

Drawn of the architect H.Craig Severance and the skyscraper style is neo-gothic. The skyscraper has under the years has many different names and the building name today is “40 Wall Street”. The Trump Building is the name before which was of the person named Donald Trump which bought the building in 1995. From the beginning when the building was finished it was the headquarters of Bank of Manhattan.

   The skyscraper is made of masonry and steel. The building is in south Manhattan in Finance district which is long way from the Chrysler Building which is in the middle of Manhattan southeast of Central Park and very near to the FN building.

 

Chrysler Building:

 

The Chrysler Building is known as the most beautiful skyscraper in the World and is even listed of one of the favorite building in USA from the American institution of architects. The building style is the typically art deco and drawn of the architect William Van Alen. The roof of the building is of special interest and in fact every bow is inspired of the front of a car.

   The named Chrysler is of course from the car firm Chrysler which was the headquarters of Chrysler firm.

   It was also the first skyscraper in the world which rich over a height of 300 meters (984 ft) and that means the first super tall skyscraper. It was the second construction which rich over 300 meters, the first one was the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Trump Building

Chrysler Building och Trump Building var två skyskrapaprojekt under samma tid. Båda blev färdiga år 1930 och dessa två projekt var enorma konkurrenter om vilken av dem som skulle blå världens högsta byggnad.

   Chrysler Building begynnelse höjd skulle bli 282 meter högt, men konkurrenten som är byggnadsprojektet Trump Building skulle bli 282,5 meter högt. Därmed fick man idén om utifall om Trump Building skulle bli högre än Chrysler Building så skulle man tillstätta en spira som gjorde att den kom att bli högre än Trump Building.

   Båda blev världens högsta byggnad året 1930 då Trump building med höjden av 282 meter kom först och därefter Chrysler Building med dess höjd på 319 meter.

   Men under samtiden fanns det andra skyskrapaprojekt som önskade att bli världens högsta byggnader ”20 Exchange Place” som blev en lägre byggnad på grund av den ekonomiska depressionen. Det kom enbart en byggnad som slog Chrysler Building under den tiden nämligen den välbekanta byggnaden Empire State Building vilket blev färdigt 1931.

Den är gjord av typisk art deco stil och ritad av arkitekten William Van Alen. Taket av byggnaden är speciell och varje båge är faktiskt inspirerat av fronten av en bil.

   Namnet Chrysler är så klart ifrån bilmärket Chrysler vilket var huvudkvarteret av Chrysler företaget.

   Det var även världens första skyskrapa som nådde en högre höjd än 300 meter det vill säga världens första super tall skyskrapa. Och det var andra konstruktionen i världen som blev högre än 300 meter, den första konstruktionen var Eiffel Tornet i Paris.

Cool skyscraper project in New York

Many new cool building is proposed in New York.

1) One Vanderbilt:

Is a Supertall building with a height of 442 meters (1450 ft) or 381 meters (1292 ft) to the roof with 65 floors. This one is nearly the same height like One World Trade Center. Or is exactly the same heigt like Empire State Building. The building is an mixed used with office, garden, parking garage and retail. The architecture style is modern and is expected to be mostly made of glass. The architect of this one is Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Unkown year when the building is expected to be finished.

2) 225 West 57 th:

Is a Supertall skyscraper with a height of 434 meters (1423 ft) with 88 floors. The building will be a hotel, residental and retail. This has also a architecture style modern but should be made of concrete. The architects is Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill Architecture. Finished year 2018.

3) 111 West 57 th Street

Funny names? However this is a Supertall building with a height of 411 meters (1350 ft) with 74 floors and is drawn of the architect firm SHoP Architects. This Buildings architecture style is also a modern. This will be used as residential, parking garage, restaurant and retail and will expected to be finished year 2017. This one is a really impressive thin building and will be near the central park.

4) 30 Hudson Yards

Is a supertall with a height of 383 meters (1257 ft) with 73 floors. This building has however different architecture style which is futurism and crystal prism. The building will be used as office, observation, parking garage and retail. The architect firm for this skyskraper is Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC. The building will expected to be finished year 2018.

5) Tower Verre

My favorite proposed building, this has the best form I think. This is also a super tall building with a height of 320 meters (1050 ft) about the same as the Chrysler Building. The skyscraper will have 82 floors and will be used as hotel, museum and residential.
   The architect of this building is Atelier Jean Nouvel and the Style is structural expressionism. The skyscraper is made of glass, steel and concrete. The year is unknown when the building will be finished.

There exist more supertall proposed building for New York. I hope all of these building will be build, especially the Tower Verre.

Whitehall Building Annex 1911

Let´s talk about an old building which lies in south Manhattan (finance district) New York from 1911. The Whitehall building is also near the new building the One of the World Trade Center (before called the Freedom Tower) which will be finished in this year 2014.

   The skyscraper was also one of the world’s tallest buildings. Other buildings like the Singer Building and the Metropolitian Life Tower was taller building. But the Whitehall Building Annex has a height of 129 meter (423 ft), with 31 floors. This building is used for office and residential.

   The architect of the skyscraper is from the architect firms Clinton and Russel, and the style of this is Beaux arts. The building is made of steel frame and stone. The building is culture preservation with the New York City Landmarks.

   There also exists an older part of the building which named Whitehall Building which was finished already on 1904. The Architect of the older building is Henry Hardenbergh. The building on the right is the older part and the taller building in the center of the pictures is the Annex.

Låt oss prata om en gammal skyskrapa vilket ligger på södra Manhattan (finansdistriktet) New York från 1911. The Whitehall Building ligger dessutom ganska nära den nya byggnaden vilket är One World Trade Center (förut Freedom Tower) vilket blir klart under detta år 2014.

   Skyskrapan var då en av världens högsta byggnader. Andra byggnader som Singer Building och Metropolitian Life Tower var högre byggnader. Men Whitehall Building Annex har en höjd på 129 meter med 31 våningar. Den här byggnaden är till för kontor och boende.

   Arkitekten av skyskrapan är ifrån arkitekt firman Clinton och Russel, och arkitektstilen är Beaux arts. Byggnaden är gjord av en stålram och sten. Skyskrapan är kulturellt bevarad med New York Landmarks.

   Det finns även en äldre del av byggnaden med namnet Whitehall Building vilket redan blev klart 1904. Arkitekten av den äldre byggnaden är Henry Hardenbergh. Byggnaden på höger på fotot är den äldre delen och den högre byggnaden i centrum av bilden är Annex byggnaden.

Nybropalatset

This building is from an old skyscraper project from Stockholm in Sweden early from 1920 but canceled year 1928. Already from that time some people tried to change Stockholm to a skyscraper city with the first proposed of the skyscraper named Nybropalatset with its height of 150 meters (492 ft). Thereafter the second proposed of that skyscraper comes and as usually in history of Stockholm if one think a building is for high the building in itself will shrink down to a lower height. This building named also Nybropalatset. You can also find more example of this kind of thinking with the first project of the Söder Torn that this building from the beginning was proposed to be higher than the building which exists today and this was 1990.

   Early from 1910 the building which named S:t Erikspalatset was built and was the highest building with 58 meter in Sweden from 1910 to 1924. This building is some of it inspiration from the early American Skyscrapers and you can compare and find out that this building seems to be alike Pabst Building in Milwaukee WI United States. Thereafter two other skyscrapers in 1924 and 1925 was built and named the Södra and Norra Kungstornet and each of them is about 60 meters.

   But after that time the interest of new skyscrapers became very law.

   However, this will be interesting if the same history from 1920 repeat itself or not with the new project Tellus Tower and the Gasclock.

Nybropalatset proposed 1 to the left and proposed 2 to the right

Denna byggnad är från en gammal skyskrapa projekt ifrån Stockholm i Sverige ifrån redan på 1920 men lades ner 1928. Redan på den tiden så försökte man att omvandla Stockholm till en skyskrapa stad då med den första förväntade bygget av Nybropalatset med sin höjd på 150 meter. Därefter kom den andra förväntade byggnaden och då som vanligt i Stockholms historia tycker man om en byggnad är för hög så ska den krympas och som även heter Nybropalatset. Man kan även jämföra med 1990 talet med Söder Torn då den kortare varianten finns idag, men förväntade ursprungsprojektet för Söder Torn som var betydligt högre har blivit nerlagt.

   Redan på 1910 talet byggdes ett hus som heter S:t Erikspalatset som ifrån 1910 till 1924 var Sveriges högsta byggnad på 58 meter och fick nog lite inspirationer ifrån dåtidens amerikanska skyskrapor, påminner mycket om Pabst Building i Milwaukee WI United States.

Det uppkom två stycken skyskrapor som kallas för Södra och Norra Kungstornet som byggdes åren 1924 till 1925 på ungefär 60 meter vardera.

   Men därefter var intresset för skyskrapor väldigt lågt. Skyskrapor projekten i Stockholm lades ner vid tiden för Nybropalatset.  

   Det ska bli intressant ifall om dagens projekt som Tellus Tower och Gasklock tornet kommer att bli byggda?

Polstjärnan (Karlavagnstornet)

Karlavagnstornet wants to be named as Polstjärnan. The Polstjärnan is in Goteborg in Sweden and will maybe be the Scandinavia tallest skyscraper and have a potential to get a height of 250 meters. The concurrent of this building is the Tellus Tower in Stockholm which can be taller than Polstjärnan.

   The Polstjärnan is the name after the winnings from the competitions with many leading architect office in the World. The architect office Skidmore, Owings and Merill which also have drawn 6 of 15 world tallest skyscrapers like Burj Khalifa win the competition in Wednesday 18 June 2014 between 58 participants from the beginning and thereafter 5 finalists was presents in Maj 2014.

   The building looks like in its form that it wants to get to the sky, which for example the architect of city Björn Siesjö thinks. I haven´t given that a thought and can´t also now see that from the structure, but thereafter I give the open questions for you my ladies and gentleman to interpret this. My own drawing is only 2D but I suggest further reading from the news from it to see some 3D picture of the building.

   The skyscraper is supposed to be in the boroughs of Lindholmen in Goteborg. The skyscraper has also got a nick name like Göte Burj.

   The building is for mixed used for residents, shops, office, restaurant and an observatory on the top. The smaller department with smaller balcony will be in the lower part and the bigger and more luxury department will be in the higher part of the skyscraper. The observatory will also maybe to be free of charge for visitors.

 

Polstjärnan (results from the competition of Karlavagnstornet)

Karlavagnstornet kommer att få namnet Polstjärnan. Polstjärnan ligger i Göteborg i Sverige och kommer kanske att bli Skandinaviens högsta skyskrapa och har en potential att få en höjd av 250 meters. Konkurrenten av den här byggnaden är Tellus Tower i Stockholm vilket kan bli högre än denna.

   Polstjärnan är namnet efter vinnaren ifrån tävlingen med många ledande arkitekt firmor i världen. Arkitekt kontoret Skidmore, Owings och Merill vilket dessutom har ritat 6 av 15 världens högsta skyskrapor som Burj Khalifa vann tävlingen på onsdagen 18 juni 2014 mellan 58 deltagande från början och fem stycken finalister var kvar i maj 2014.

   Byggnaden liknar till formen av att den strävar till skyn, vilket exempelvis stadsarkitekten Björn Siesjö tycker. Jag har inte gett någon sådan tanke och kan inte nu heller se från strukturen, men ger därefter enbart en öppen fråga till er mina damer och herrar att tolka detta. Min egen teckning är enbart en 2D men jag föreslår vidare läsning ifrån nyheterna och därmed kunna se 3D bilder av byggnaden.

   Skyskrapan är tänkt att vara i statsdelen Lindholmen i Göteborg. Skyskrapan har dessutom fått smeknamnet Göte Burj.

   Skyskrapan är till för olika saker som boende, affärer, restaurangen och en utsiktsplats på toppen. Mindre ägenheter med mindre balkonger kommer att befinna sig på lägre delen medan större och mer lyxigare lägenheter kommer att befinna sig på högre delen av skyskrapan. Utsiktsplatsen kommer även kanske att bli gratis för besökare.

 

Update 432 Park Avenue

Really impressive how fast they can build this skyscraper in height. Now this is about 330 meters (1085 ft) from a few days ago with 325 meters (1066 ft). I Think about one to two floors, but not so fast like for the Empire State Building case, the fastest building time was 14 floors in 10 days.
Verkligen imponerande om hur snabbt de kan bygga den här byggnaden i höjdled. Nu är den på 330 meters från några dagar sedan på 225 meter. Jag tror att de har byggt mellan en till två våningar, men inte så fort som för Empire State Building fallet då man lyckades bygga 14 våningar på 10 dagar.
