GE Building

GE (General Electric) building is one from the Rockfeller Center building complex in New York and which has a height of 260 meters (852 ft) and with 70 floors. The skyscraper is an old Art Deco style from 1933 and the old name of the building which remains until 1988 is the RCA (Radio Corporation of America) building. The name was formed from the General Electric.

   On the top of the building one can find the rainbow room which is to restaurant and the GE building has also an observatory which has an excellent view over the Empire State Building and the Central Park at north.

   The architect for this building is Raymond Hood which was the head of the architect team. The building is made of limestone, aluminum and granite. The GE building is even one old classical skyscraper which is worth to preserve as for a culture and historical value.

GE (General Electric) building vilket är en av byggnaderna av Rockfeller Center i New York och som är på 260 meter högt och med 70 våningar högt. Skyskrapan är en gammal Art Deco stil ifrån 1933 och den gamla skyskrapans namn RCA (Radio Corporation of America) building. Namnet kom ifrån General Electric företaget.

   På toppen av byggnaden finns ett rum som kallas för regnbågsrummet vilket är tillför en restaurang och GE byggnaden har även en utsiktsplats på toppen med en bra vy åt Empire State Building och en bra vy mot central Park åt norrut.

   Arkitekten för den här byggnaden heter Raymond Hood vilket var ledaren för arkitekt teamet. Byggnaden är gjord av kalksten, aluminium och granit. GE byggnaden är även en gammal klassisk skyskrapa som är värd att bevaras som ett kulturellt och historiskt värde.
